Annekoos Arlman

Annekoos trained as a drama teacher/theatre maker in the Netherlands and has years of experience teaching drama to all ages and abilities, including children with special needs and severe learning difficulties.

Since coming to London and completing the MA Theatre Practices at Rose Bruford (Distinction), she has been working as an actor on various projects, teaching performing arts at a Performing Arts College as well as teaching drama for Southwark Playhouse and Icon Theatre.

Annekoos has performed in two of our First Theatre tours The Woman Who Cooked Everything in 2008/09 and Gulliver's Travels in 2009.

Devising and performing in The Woman Who Cooked Everything indulged her love of clowning, puppetry, physical theatre, comedy and working in an imaginative and dynamic way with young children.  These are just a few of the reasons why she's so enthusiastic about MakeBelieve Arts.

Annekoos is trained in the Helicopter Stories: Letting Imagination Fly as a Level 2 - Helicopter Deliver. This means that Annekoos is trained to team teach with early years practitioners in the classroom, introduce and deliver weekly helicopter sessions in-class, encourage practitioners, reflect on the practice and feed back their observations.
