The Woman Who Cooked Everything

A play created by children, for children

SPRING TERM PROJECT

During the Spring Term 2008 MakeBelieve Arts will be touring their all new theatre production of The Woman Who Cooked Everything to primary schools in your borough. This interactive, multi-arts journey will place literacy and storytelling at the centre of the participatory drama experience. The show has been inspired by a book of stories, completely written and illustrated by children aged 3 to 7 years old, which have been collected by MakeBelieve Arts over the last five years.

"Once there was a woman who liked to cook, she liked to cook everything..."

On the day of the performance two classes (reception, yr 1 or yr 2) will get the opportunity to experience the work, with one show in the morning and one in the afternoon. Included in the price each school will receive a second visit a week later. One of MakeBelieve Arts' experienced workshop leaders will spend time with the children and teacher to further develop the ideas arising from the play through storytelling. Schools will also receive two free copies of The Woman Who Cooked Everything storybook (retail £6.99 each) and a complimentary copy of our Helicopter Resource Pack (retail £15.00), both of which can be used for follow up work and exploring storytelling in greater depth.

Price: £450

Tour Dates: Wednesday 23rd January - Friday 4th April 2008
