New funding for much-needed creative programmes
MakeBelieve Arts is delighted to announce that the Ironmongers' Foundation has provided us with funding to deliver a Boys Literacy Project and two Creative Residencies in primary schools in Greenwich, Lewisham, Southwark or Tower Hamlets.
Both projects are a fantastic opportunity to engage pupils with creativity and learning. The Boys Literacy Project creates a rich, imaginative and simulating programme of work which will be facilitated by two male practitioners. We aim to engage and excite boys through animating the subject of English and raise their levels of attainment. By encouraging learners to take a greater interest in reading and writing, we provide a quality experience which enhances development and creative potential in staff and pupils.
Additionally, the Ironmongers' Residencies focus on increasing creativity and raising attainment. The details of the project are bespoke; we give your school the choice of subject area that the residency will focus on and MakeBelieve Arts can work with one or two year groups.
Both projects allow MakeBelieve Arts to focus on supporting pupils and schools with creativity and encourage lifelong engagement with education. We're grateful to Ironmongers' for their support and look forward to delivering the projects in schools!
