TrainingChicago Laboratory School, USAIn January 2004, Trisha Lee and Isla Tompsett were invited to Chicago to run workshops alongside Vivian Gussin Paley in her old kindergarten classroom. We were also involved in training Year 5 pupils in the art of scribing stories and demonstrated to teachers of the school the benefits and methodology of the peer group education programme. |

A story from a Nursery Child at the Chicago Laboratory schoolOnce upon a time there was a beautiful girl and she went to the forest of darkness. She saw some mean animals. She ran away back to her shoe house and saw nobody inside. She felt sad she can't do anything by herself. She can just turn the water and wash all the dishes and take a bath by herself. Later she make her bed. She was bored all night. Her parents came home and her family was so happy that they saw her making her bed all by herself. |
A story from a Fifth Grader at Chicago Laboratory schoolOnce there was a boy. He lived in Texas. And then he grew up to be the Texas governor. Then he turned into an evil US president. Then he made an evil administration. He flew overseas looking for weapons of mass destruction that were not there. |
