Northfleet Nursery School is the only maintained nursery in Kent and has achieved four consecutive 'Outstanding' OFSTED judgements.

The nursery is an accredited 'High Scope Centre'. It is used by the local authority as an exemplar of exceptional practice.

One hundred children attend the nursery on a sessional basis with some accessing 30 hours.

Approximately half of the children speak English as an additional language and a few at an early stage of English language acquisition. Children starting the nursery come in with low levels of speaking and listening.

Northfleet highly priortises opportunities for developing children's language. Since implementing Helicopter Stories in 2013, Northfleet Nursery has seen excellent progress in their children's language and confidence.

Northfleet Nursery School is a fully qualified Helicopter Stories Certified Training Centre licensed to deliver full day training, half day and coffee mornings.
